Spending Well on School Places

The Department for Education (DfE) and Educational Building and Development Officers Group (EBDOG) invite you to our conference, ‘Spending Well on School Places’ on 13th September 2018 in Birmingham. The aim of the conference is to help you improve your capital efficiency and explore ways to make your money go further. Speakers will share best practice on efficiency and offer insight into the leading developments in the sector. You will have the opportunity to engage directly with senior leaders within the DfE and with other local authorities.

The day aims to cover:

  • A keynote speech from Lord Agnew, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for the School System
  • Case studies and best practice on capital efficiency from the sector
  • Information on the Department’s procurement frameworks and buildings design guidance
  • Discussion and networking opportunities with other local authorities

 

The conference will take place at the Macdonald Burlington Hotel, Burlington Arcade, New Street, Birmingham, B2 4JQ. There will be lunch and refreshments provided on the day. If you have any specific dietary requirements please contact LA.Efficiency@education.gov.uk.

Registration will commence at 9:00 for a 9:30am start. The event is free to attend. You can register for the event here

We ask that there are a maximum of two delegates per local authority to ensure a fair distribution of spaces. If you would like an additional place please email LA.Efficiency@education.gov.uk and we will keep a reserve list to open up nearer the time.
