Frequently Asked Questions

What is EBDOG?
We are the Educational Building and Development Officers Group (EBDOG). EBDOG has existed for many years and is made up of Local Authority Officers and property professionals who are responsible for effective asset management of school and other premises within their own Local Authority. We are a subscription-free service for Local Authority Building and Development Officers across England and Wales. You can read more about us here.
What role does the Executive Committee play in EBDOG and who are they?
The Executive Committee meets regularly throughout the year, meeting dates are shown on the Calendar Dates page. If you would like to share your views on this please e-mail your comments to your local representative on the Executive Committee. Who is EBDOG for?
EBDOG meetings are primarily for Local Authority representatives involved in school building and capital projects. EBDOG conferences are for all colleagues in the public and private sectors across Local and National Government.
How can I get involved in joining EBDOG?
If you want to get involved in EBDOG then please get in touch with your regional chair (details on this website) - they will be able to provide information on when and where the next regional meeting is being held and answer any questions you may have.

When is the next conference?
The next EBDOG conference is to be held on Friday 22 June 2018 with a pre-conference dinner on Thursday 21th June 2017. The full cost of the conference will be £190 per delegate – this includes the conference dinner on 21st June. More information will follow on the full conference programme as well as booking form on this website shortly.
Who should I contact about hosting a conference?
Contact any member of the EBDOG Exec. Many of the LAs represented by the Exec have hosted conferences previously. They will be able to give you advice and answer many of the questions you may have. Specialist assistance can also be provided.
